[...] Timeless Unfolding of Truths – Acquiring knowledge is like climbing a ladder: in order to step up to a higher rung, we have to let go of the rung we are stepping on. If we believe that the step we are standing on is the highest, then we can climb no higher. The technique of learning in this tradition is always to release, to let go of what we have just learned, of what we have already obtained. Never believe that what you know is the absolute truth. - Thich Nhat Hanh [...]

A fantastic post. I especially love this quote:

Acquiring knowledge is like climbing a ladder: in order to step up to a higher rung, we have to let go of the rung we are stepping on. If we believe that the step we are standing on is the highest, then we can climb no higher. The technique of learning in this tradition is always to release, to let go of what we have just learned, of what we have already obtained. Never believe that what you know is the absolute truth. - Thich Nhat Hanh

Reminds us that we must not defend our old ideas. Half of them may be based on false beliefs, problem is that we will never know which half until after the fact. So the idea of releasing and letting go of knowledge. Our natural tendency is to fight and defend what we think are our ideas and beliefs - and this can retard growth.

Yes, when we learn to integrate all parts of our lives together, everything takes on special meaning. I took a long time myself in deciding to come into congruence myself. And this is just the beginning for me!

All the best to you!

Hello Katie,

And I would have said yes to the invitation. I love having tea with like-minded folks. More recently, I set up a mastermind group whereby I would lead the discussion. The only thing is that we meet physically. Physical meetings to me are important for setting intentions in the third dimensional realm of existence.

I love reading about the personal transformation you are on as well. Indeed, our lives are mirroring each other. I wish you nothing but love, abundance and success on your journey!

With love and hugs,
Evelyn

Great reminder for me today with what you said: "I have come to notice that the only way to move forward is to accept where we are and the issues that hold us back." Thank you!

We have great taste in quotes, don't we :-)

Hello Cath,

I have been laughing at how ridiculous I became in wanting things fast. For a time, I was all ready to put myself down. See how my ego acts up?

Really, we are okay where we are. You are right. The results may be more dramatic - which can be negative or positive - at 150mph!

Oh gosh, Daphne! I learn from writing my own posts too! Every time I write, I am affirming and reminding myself what it is that I am working on and hoping to move in greater alignment with. I often wonder if what I write is more for the reader or more for myself...LOL! Is it the same for you too?

I love the quote very much. I would not have understood what Buddha really meant by it previously. But more recently, when I decided to slow down to take in the flowers, birds and bees, I gained a tiny glimpse.

Abundance always,
Evelyn

“If we could see the miracle of a single flower clearly, our whole life would change.”

Evelyn, I learn so much from your posts, namely your honesty in sharing your journey and humility in how you see yourself. Love the quote by Buddha above. How true!

Hi Evelyn - Wouldn't it be great to have a higher power on speed dial.

I love how you share your impatience to advance quickly. I think many of us have felt the same way sometimes - but it's hard to admit it.

But I guess the journey wouldn't be so wonderful and interesting, if we sped through it at 150mph.
