Soul specializations are “jobs” that we can undertake in-between lives. It is possible to use the “job skills” that we have acquired forward with us into our current lives. Jay Frawley of Inner Noodle appears to be one person who has done so. In my reading of his Akashic Records, it was revealed that he had been a DreamMaster before.

Upon review, I was not surprised with the revelation! On his site, he has been publishing posts teaching readers how to interpret dreams. An accountant by training, Jay realized that his passion really lay in helping others through his writings and not in crunching numbers.

I dreamed I was a butterfly. No longer flitting around, I flew with a clear idea of where I was going. It was to a place as if time had stood still, waiting for me to arrive. As soon as I entered, the place picked up the beautiful colors of my wings. No longer dull, it lit up.

It was a classroom setting. There were rows of individual desks. Each desk was occupied. No, I don’t recognize anyone. Then again, the occupants hardly looked ordinary to me. Although they had human faces, I perceived that they were not. I could not quite make out if they each had a unique appearance but they certainly looked illuminating. They also seemed to be wearing a uniform of some sort. However, because they were all seated, I did not have a clear picture of what the uniform really looked like.

All was quiet in the classroom. There was a blackboard right in front but no teacher around. Yet every BEing was looking straight to the front. With a serious look that they wore over their calm and serene faces, they appeared to be absorbing lessons.

My wings fluttering, I lingered for a bit. Soon, it was time to go. As I flew back to present reality, I seemed to lose the sense of being a butterfly. I was back again in my bed and waking up to the morning dawn. In my mind, the corners of my lips were curving up in a smile. I was smiling at the thought that came through: “I had just traveled to somewhere familiar. A place I have been countless times. A separate dimension. A parallel universe.”

Saturday Night: How I Came To Dream

The above description was a dream that I woke up to on Sunday morning. Prior to going to bed the night before, I had opened a message in my inbox, containing a link to the picture on the left. (Please note that for the purposes of publishing this post, I have been hoping to credit this image to its creator but could not find out who this person is). I became so enchanted by the changing colors of its wings that I searched for a quote that would go along with the image. I read so many lines – they were all so beautiful and inspiring – but the one that spoke to me most was this saying…

“I dreamed I was a butterfly, flitting around in the sky; then I awoke. Now I wonder: Am I a man who dreamt of being a butterfly, or am I a butterfly dreaming that I am a man?”

The quote reminded me of one of my favorite sayings, which I have also shared in a recent post Soul Revelations From Past Life Memories. Here is the saying once again….

After I switched off my PC late Saturday night, I decided to do a quiet sitting. However, exhausted after a long day, I could barely keep my eyes open and soon fell asleep while meditating.

Sunday And Thereafter: In Search Of Parallel Universes

Was it really a dream? I was intrigued that the term “parallel universe” came to me while I was sleeping. So after some intensive crawling on the web, I came upon some interesting finds.

In case you think I have gone bonkers about searching for something that is a myth more than anything, here is a set of 5 interesting videos from a BBC documentary that I found, revealing that parallel universes may just be backed by Science.

Then I started to ask myself which blogger might have written about parallel universes. Aha! Erin Pavlina!! She might have something. I went to her site and typed in “parallel universe” on the search box. The first result came out in this link Welcome to Naptown.

I did a click over. The post was written on August 9, 2006. Lo and behold, Erin had written in the first sentence…

“Last night I dreamed I was a butterfly, and now I do not know if I am a man who dreamed he was a butterfly, or a butterfly now dreaming I am a man.” – Lao Tzu

In her post, she shared about a world that she had visited over and over again, while taking her naps. Hmmmm…interesting!

Since deciding not to go back to my previous vocation as a banker about a year ago – as shared in my last post – I have embarked on a path of self-discovery and building the business of my dreams. Through various personal struggles, I’ve come to understand the importance of aligning what I am doing with my Higher Self. If anything, it is not enough to choose what business to do based on some whimsical interest alone. Nor is it about choosing the business that can generate the most money or the one with the highest profit margin.

Sidenote: If you want to know more about the beginnings of my site and business, please hop over to an interview article over at Myrko’s site that I just did. In the article, I also shared about my role model, my mother-in-law, who had inspired me in more ways that I had ever known. It is also purely coincidental that Myrko approached me for an interview during this period; for today happens to be the third anniversary of her death.

Choosing the right business to do starts with self-discovery. In this area, I have benefited much from the intensive healing work that I put myself through. Books can only tell me so much; but it was from experiential learning that I got the most insights from. I follow where my instincts lead me each day. I allocate time to walking on a spiritual path; for without, I cannot point others in taking the necessary steps towards aligning with their Higher Selves in whatever they do.

In actualizing my dream business, I have also continued to further my skills, knowledge or requirements that will help me become a more effective coach, friend, entrepreneur and blogger. I have been connecting with my desire to help others; people who are going through difficult times, people with relationship issues and people who are unsure about their life purpose. Best of all, blogging has also allowed me to explore my creativity -the food for my soul – through writing, image designing, photography and making my own videos!

What Is The Business of Your Dreams

What about you? Do you have a dream to build your own business? Do you yearn for the flexibility and freedom of working as and when you want to? (I have to confess that there are days I’ve woken up at a time when most people are already in the office….er…like this morning for instance…*embarrassed grin*! I also take the day off – with no qualms at all – if my kids fall ill all of a sudden and need some attention. I zip in and out of my home, if I’ve got errands to run or if I need to meet up with friends in need of some consulting advice, during the day. I can do all these, because I’m in full control of my time!)

Many of us dream of going on a nice vacation. It may be a relaxing holiday in an exotic beach resort, visiting a Disneyland theme park or just an eat-and-shop holiday. If you ask me, I like the thought of them all. Bitten by the travel bug, I continue to have several holiday dreams; despite having traveled a fair bit.

Did I ever mention that Singaporeans are one of the most widely traveled people in the world? Once the school holidays begin in another month’s time, our already busy Changi Airport is going to enter another high peak period.

I share the same thoughts as Jeff from Super Charged Living on how it feels like to be away from home. He had written about things he love about traveling to new places in his recent post here. For Singaporeans, any form of traveling will mean going out of the country since there are no mountains to climb, lakes to swim or clear waters to dive in. Abroad, I enjoy breathing in the fresh air, sampling food from another culture and taking in the sights of some ancient ruins.

For a time, I wanted to be an air stewardess so that I could get to travel the world. The thought of being able to experiencing the world in all its glory was tempting! However, becoming an air stewardess then would mean having to quit my banking job. A friend gave me some advice, which I heeded to: It would be silly to give up your career prospects just to fulfill the wish to travel! The next best alternative was to make some money to afford the vacations. Of course, there is always the option of backpacking. But somehow, the thought did not occur to me back then.

Attract Money For Travel

Admittedly, traveling abroad can require a huge sum of money, if you intend to travel well. Going on one and with kids in tow can translate to a total bill that is in the thousands. If you find yourself wishing for a dream vacation abroad with your family but do not have means to, read this article that I wrote about changing your beliefs about money first. You cannot begin to attract funds for travelling if you hold negative thoughts towards having surplus money in your wallet.

My Abundant Travel Life

Our travel dreams are more likely to come true if we can bring forth the memory of how it feels like to be on vacation, while we make a request to The Universe/God/ Spirit Gudies. Hence, I am going to start off here by sharing about my previous travel life and recalling the enjoyable time I had.

In the United States, I have been to as far north as Alaska to view its ice glaciers and as far south as Key West to taste the famed key lime pie and watched its beautiful sunset. Disneyland was wonderful, although I would need to go back again and this time with my kids. From the U.S., I even flew on to Cancun off the coast in Mexico for a diving holiday with my husband.

Over in Europe, I have climbed Antoni Gaudí’s famous La Sagrada Família in Barcelona, Spain together with friends. I have also taken photos against the picturesque landscapes of Switzerland, Holland and Austria. The ancient ruins of Pompei in Rome fascinated me as much as the famous paintings in The Louvre Museum of Paris. Food and shopping were so good in London that I have flown there a few times.

I have visited a number of countries closer to home as well. In China, I have set afoot the Great Wall of China and visited the Forbidden City; in Australia, the cities of Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Darwin. Beach holidays in Indonesia, Thailand and Malaysia are vacations that I have taken every now and then for a short getaway.

My Travel Dreams

There are many places that I continue to wish to see. So here goes my top 5 desired country destinations and in no particular order:

1. Japan – Hokkaido.
2. New Zealand.
3. Canada.
4. Austria – I have been to Austria once during my University school holidays but promised that one day, I would return to such a beautiful country.
5. United States – New York, Boston, Hawaii.

I feel happy and grateful for having had the opportunity to see parts of the world, outside my home. My intent is to be in a vibrational alignment with my travel dreams. I now send my wish list to the Universe, joyful in the knowledge that one day my travel dreams will come true.

My kids too have their own wish list! Occasionally, they take the time to pore over pictures of places where they would like to go to some day. They feel very much inspired to do so, after glimpsing the vision board on my wall.
