I had not expected that my account into accessing into a past life in Egypt would have moved some of you so much into tears. If anything, I had thought my experience was meant to be a big lesson for me alone. The feedback that you posted to my previous post got me thinking.
My hesitancy previously to share about revelations from my meditation sessions, lucid dreams and flashes of awareness partly came about because I felt inadequate. I reasoned that I was nowhere near Eckhart Tolle, Neale Donald Walsch or some esteemed spiritual master.
Reflecting over, I reminded myself that the information on this site is about how we can attract what we want. However, our desires or what we often wish typically vibrate at higher energy frequencies. So really, my underlying aim is about sharing how we can raise our energy consciousness for living a life of abundance.
Hence, today, I am deciding otherwise. Based on the various heartwarming feedback to my last post, I have decided to share more about my personal journey. I am pretty sure that my own experience is not the only way to move into the light; however sharing about my journey via this blog can help provide a platform for further discussion and exploration.
Out of The Shadows; Into The Light
It is to be noted that to move into the light, we must also emerge from the shadows. There cannot be dawn, without shadows and darkness. Light and dark; such is the duality of existence. While light may be able to come in, there can also well be cobwebs that hang in the dark corners.
For some of us, our cobwebs may be woven so tightly, thickly and extensively that they block our vision substantially and hinder our way forward. Much of these cobwebs are weaved since the beginnings of our past lives; for the problems of today have roots in the years begone. You may therefore deem it necessary to take the action of sweeping and clearing them away. By doing so, you allow more light to come in.
Before I proceed, if what I am about to write is nothing new to you, please bear with me. They are very humbly, little nuggets from my own inner knowing; often arising in the deep silence of the nights or early mornings:
One Soul; Many Lifetimes
I have lived multiple lifetimes. I have been of various race, color and nationality. The lifetimes I get to “see” invariably has a tragedy to them. In many, I have died in misery, suffering, alone, and in tears. Most of the memories that have been brought to my awareness showed me on the deathbed, passing on. In each, I had been painfully aware of how I had to let go of my attachments to the physical world; so that I could move on to a different state of consciousness.
“You are not a human being in search of a spiritual experience. You are a spiritual being immersed in a human experience.”
— Teilhard de Chardin quotes (French Geologist, Priest, Philosopher and Mystic, 1881-1955)
Many Lifetimes; Same Family
Invariably, it has been the same family members that my soul chose to be reborn with. However, I do not see all of them present in the same lifetime. Also, there are other figures of whom I have not recognized as having known them in this lifetime.
With my current family members, we have also assumed different roles previously. Sometimes, I may appear as the father; sometimes, the sister or the child.
Oh yes! If this may interest you, I have also “seen” one or two of my current friends in previous lifetimes.
In many cases, before dying, my soul would make the intention of coming back to fill whatever relationship gaps – unresolved betrayals, trusts misplaced, acts that were not forgiven, wrongs not righted, love unfulfilled – I have had with these people. My conclusion is that it is my soul’s intention to know itself experientially and hence, its desire to return.
Energy Never Dies
I have come to conclude that energy can never truly be destroyed. I dare say that I am simply a bundle of intelligent energy in physical shape right now. Each time, I have not truly died; my soul has merely taken a different form with its return.
Where the Soul Never Dies
Nature, a reflection of our soul,
reveals the seasons of our lives.
Like people, earth’s seasons teach us
patience, awareness, and encourage us to grow. From the sparkle of sunlight in the doe’s eye
to the sparrow elevated by the air below its wings,
the spirit of God is the source of life that fuels our spirit
and raises us above pain and sorrow.Only the soul can travel to this place above the clouds
where we are lifted by the breath of God.
Here, the lessons learned in nature
disclose to us that dying is a transition into life
and nothing completely disappears.Rather, we are transformed into another realm of existence
to experience the essence of living
where the soul never dies.— by Rev Samuel Lee Oliver; What the Dying Teach Us: Lessons on Living

Past Life Records On A Need-To-Know Basis
My guess is that if there have been happy lifetimes in between the unhappy ones, these would not have left an imprint in my mind. There is nothing to solve or learn. On the other hand, for the wounds that lay open, I have carried the imprint in my subconscious. It (or my soul) intended to return each time to the human realm to experience, repair and heal.
Hence, my finding is that past life records are only accessible to me if they are meant to assist in my healing process in this lifetime. I am unable to “will” information or details that are unnecessary into my conscious awareness.
Love Is The Awakening Of My Soul
If I am to distill all my soul lessons into one word, it will be love. Loving – the very experience – is what my soul came back for. Whether the intention is to love myself or others.
I have no wish to glorify any of my previous life experiences. My past life memories surfaced not as a direct result of hypnotherapy sessions. Rather, they came from meditation sessions and lucid dreams; and then confirmed by psychic readings. So what if I was ever a Sufi practitioner practicing spiritual arts, an Egyptian girl who died young or an ordinary North African girl sold into slavery? Each life story has no significance in its drama to me now. My desire not to sensationalize the revelations of my memories partly contributed to my reluctance in sharing about them previously.
What perhaps is most important to me is the unfolding of wisdom that comes from within. What do the messages tell me? How can I heal from the guilt, shame, betrayal, lies, hurt and bitterness in my relationships with myself and others? How can I be whole? How can I recover to experience more love?
As mentioned in my previous post, almost overnight, I experienced a paradigm shift with an increased understanding of my Being. Awakened, I began to experience healing that has been profound. Although I am nowhere near enlightenment, I walk in greater joy, love, abundance, compassion and light. I live in greater awareness for all there is.
My Analysis
If you ask me, I would be more than happy to recommend not to go into childhood traumas or past life memories if you can solve the problems that you have Now. The past is the past. If there is no need to access the past to solve your issues at hand, why bother to dig up the dirt? There would not be past life records for you to access anyway, since you do not need them.

My thinking is that past life healing is only necessary in the case where you find yourself stuck. You are unable to open your heart for unexplained reasons. In situations like these, it may be a worthwhile consideration to clear the cobwebs that clearly hang in the corners.
Let us also not forget the true meaning of existence; which is to live life fully this present moment. What we are keen on is to recreate a new Us, in a higher state of Being. When this happens, we can begin to attract new experiences that can help us bring about a new and better reality.
We have within us the ability to access the highest vibrational frequency – the power of Love. I would also like to come to believe that from within is how we connect to Source Energy, God or The Divine. Making that connection is not external. In this inner sacred space, there is no separation of our ego or who we are from Source. We are in alignment with the Infinite. We are truly One.
What Are Your Thoughts?
Do you have any thoughts you would like to share on this topic? How about the idea about accessing past life records for healing? Will you consider using past life regressions to address any guilt, shame, betrayal, intense hurt or emotional pain that cannot be solved by your psychotherapist? What form of healing do you use in cases of repeated patterns of trauma in your life history? Please share them in the comments below.

Hi Evelyn,
You’re right, not everyone comes here with “unfinished business” from past lives, so there’s no sense digging them up if the cases have closed. Of course if there are spill-over issues that have yet to be resolved, or are no longer serving your highest purpose, it would make a lot of sense to work on them and clear them off.
Having said that, there are also lessons we’ve chosen to come back to learn in this lifetime, which may not be remnants from the past – just new lessons to help us gain greater wisdom and raise our vibrations as we progress on our soul’s journey. Just thought it’d be good to bring this up here … not all of our current challenges in life are related to past lives.
It’s good to see how far you’ve come along in this aspect of your journey. It takes courage to grow, and you’re a shining example of an ordinary person on an extraordinary path.
I had a reading done when I was pregnant with my daughter and the intuitive told me that my daughter had come here for me. To instruct me and help me grow. I had a reading with a different intuitive when Gracie was three and that woman told me the exact same thing. As I watch Gracie interact with people around her I am convinced that this is true. Her social skills are amazing and the way she understands the world and people is way beyond her years. At the same time she reminds me each and every day how much joy we are capable of if we don’t let “reality” get in the way. She also tells me at least 10 times a day how much she loves me. I believe she really is here to teach me quite a few lessons and I am grateful for her.
I appreciate your point about being present in the “now” and not dwelling on past lives for their sake alone. If it doesn’t pertain to now, we don’t need to go digging for problems
@Irene, thanks for sharing about having new lessons that present themselves in current life. Also, thanks so much for being such a great support to my spiritual journey! Other than this, I’m just at a loss for words over what you said about me being an example for others. I’m not sure if I deserve it…
@melissa, how interesting! You must treasure Gracie very much! She sure sounds really special!
Thank so much for your kind thoughts during little B’s illness it was much appreciated. He’s at school today and doing great.
I love to tie in things I grapple with in the present with my past experiences. It is as though I have another viewfinder to mine for wisdom.
I love reading about your personal journey. Thank you so much for sharing it.
Have you read ‘Many Lives, Many Masters’ by Dr Brian Weiss? I couldn’t put the book down, read it in one sitting.
Evelyn, I resonate deeply with the tone of your post, with its humility and thoughtfulness. I appreciate them very much.
Like you, I think it’s important to remind ourselves that we are spiritual beings having a human experience, and that we’re here and we suffer because we can never, ever take peace, love, joy, and bliss for granted. Ever. At some level, deep in our souls, we know this to be true, even as we continue to resist the feeling of being constrained and confined by a human form.
But throughout our long history on this planet, the constraints and the confinement, with all of its pain and suffering, have been absolutely necessary for our growth and evolution as individuals and collectives. Thankfully, in this time, we are now coming to understand ourselves in a new light, one that will help us to put what we’ve been through into a deeper, broader perspective.
Your posts on your experiences with past lives are modest but important contributions to this deeper, broader evolutionary perspective. It can only encourage others to look more deeply into their own past life experience so that they too can share in the conversation about living spiritually in human form. I admire your courage to go beyond your sense of inadequacy and make this possible for us. Probing the past does have its place.
In my extensive reading about past lives, lives between lives, future lives, and current lives in relation to past and future lives, I’ve come to appreciate the value of exploring past lives for their own sake and for the sake of healing. I’ve come to appreciate the value of taking the journey to lives between lives for its own sake and for the sake of understanding more fully who and what I am. And I’ve come to appreciate the value of accessing future lives if and when the need and desire presents itself.
Most of all and best of all, I’ve come to see the value of viewing my current life as a small stream in a much longer journey. I can now see the wisdom in these words: deep in the heart of the soul, there is nothing wrong with me; there is nothing wrong with you.
And yet, we continue to suffer needlessly. Why is this? The answer is simple: suffering is a confession of ignorance about who we are in relation to others and about what we are in relation to the world. Vanquish the ignorance and you vanquish the suffering, but as I’m sure you know, doing this is not a personal matter only. It’s a social matter, a global matter, a cosmic matter. It involves everyone, everywhere, everywhen, through endless cycles of life, death, and rebirth, forever and ever and ever, without end.
God is just another word for Unity and Harmony. God is both personal and impersonal because we ourselves are both personal and impersonal. With Unity comes Light and Love. With Harmony comes Truth and Beauty. These are what give us our grace, our sustenance. With them, we can live fully in the present moment. With them, we can purify Eros, our worldly desires for abundance, freedom, pleasure, happiness, prosperity, and fulfillment. With them, we can shout “Yes!” to the prospect of healing ourselves of past traumas.
At present, sitting quietly with myself, in the profound stillness of what is, brings me into the Light of Divinity, serving to heal me of my restlessness and weariness. As you know, there’s great truth, love, and power in this radiant and wondrous Silence.
Let us not fool ourselves into thinking that our current lives are all that matters. This would be a serious mistake. Which is why I think your treatment of past lives has much value for us. I look forward to you sharing more of your personal journey and I will support you any way I can. Thank you for your courage and wisdom. Both are much appreciated by this sometimes human, sometimes spiritual sojourner.
With much Love and Light,
Christopher
Thank you so much for this, Evelyn. I am glad you have decided to share more of your personal journey.
Hi Evelyn
I also think that past lives are revealed on a need-to-know basis – things can pop up that are relevant to some issue we have going on.
And like you I also see past lives in a similar way to the earlier parts of the present life – i.e. it’s past and gone, and only worth bringing back if it helps with something we are stuck with.
Great to read this – thanks!
Hi Evelyn. I’ve always enjoyed the phrase, “We are spiritual beings having a human experience.” And there are certainly no lack of opportunities for that on Earth. Thanks for sharing your journey.
I think that many times a person has undertaken vows of chastity or poverty or something else in another life and they carry those into their current life without being aware of it. Also, fears that may appear to be unfounded will often be linked to the way that we died in a past life (for example, if you’re scared of water there’s a great possibility that you drowned in a past life). So I think it’s important to look into past life regression when you feel that there is something from a past life that is holding you back.
I was told in one reading that I’ve been a healer in many past lives, while in another reading I was told that I’ve often been in the military. I suppose both could be true.
I think this is a very interesting topic.
@Suzie, what a surprise! I didn’t expect you to visit my site, knowing how things have been rather traumatic lately for you. I’m so glad to learn that B is back at school. *Sigh of relief*…
@Pink Ink, you’ve managed to say what I’m trying to articulate in one sentence! It’s awesome that you can take the lessons from the past for the present. Thanks!
@Vered, I thought you may find it interesting too
@Avani, oh yes….I read it like years and years ago…when I have not tried any meditation or had any past life memories. I need to borrow the book again from the library or purchase it, to read it again. Thanks for the reminder!
Hello Christopher,
I constantly remind myself about being humble. It is tempting to feel special just because I have some breakthroughs in my spiritual growth. However, if I allow my ego to take over, then I am not any better than others. I can’t possibly profess to having grown spiritually when my pride is free to rule. The ability to remember our past lives really lies in all of us, as mentioned. Hence, there is nothing to feel but humility.
For a period that stretched in months, I did feel very uncomfortable. My discomfort came as a result of heightened awareness of being trapped in physical form. I did not like what I was experiencing. I also kept having weird sensations of my consciousness moving out of my body, when I slept. I would wake up in the mornings, wondering if I had slept at all. I kept falling ill as a result. It took some grounding exercises to remove my discomfort. So I am of the strong belief that we really are spiritual beings having a human experience.
You certainly offer an alternative view to most, on delving into past lives. I also admire you for your courage to find out the truth. Typically, I would expect that most people will react either with horror at the prospect of having to look at suffering so closely in the eye or they would be going after the dramas and sensations of their stories in the past.
It’s interesting that you are using past lives and lives between lives to give you a better perspective of who You really are. You speak with much wisdom about now being able to see your current lifetime as just one part of a longer journey. In this, I know that it simply means that you will be more inclined to let go of what is no longer important but rather to pursue the things that matter most for eternity and in becoming whole.
You’ve certainly offered me a new perspective of what suffering is. As I sit here and ponder over what you said, I am acknowledging that my zealous quest to know who I am and to make sense of things is what drives me most nowadays. The discomfort (and therefore the suffering) is fueling my search to discover truths for myself.
Clearly, healing from past life traumas have its value. It most certainly helped me in experiencing paradigm shifts. My experiences tore me to tears each time. However, it is really what I do after all this knowledge that matters. It is not about getting stuck in the past; for the past is the past. In that perspective, what I gain most is how to live well today and this day forward.
Thank you so much for your time in contributing your views to this topic. Your support to this site and my work is very much appreciated!
Love, light and truth,
Evelyn
@Betsy, you are most welcome. I hope that the post has offered some meaning to you
@Robin, yes yes…it’s true. When we find ourselves having some particular problem, it seems to get easier for a past memory to get triggered. The answer on why we are stuck presents itself on its own. Thanks for sharing your personal observations!
@Davina, oh yes…there are plenty of things to experience here on Earth. It is my intent to discover, explore and appreciate the abundance that it has for us!
@Marelisa, I suppose you are doing Akashic record soul cleansing for unwanted stuff that is still haunting you in current life?
I forgot to add that usually after having a past life memory, I would call up my coach/psychic friend for a reading to confirm and to get her assistance to clear karmic ties. However, it will be so much easier for me to do it myself once I have completed the Soul Realignment Program myself.
I do not doubt the possibility of you being a healer or someone from the military in different lifetimes. I have also gotten memories of myself practicing different forms of spirituality. For all you know, we may have met before, as cohorts in the same field…LOL!!
I’m glad that you are enjoying this topic for discussion.
Love, light and truth,
Evelyn
Hi Evelyn: No, just adding to the conversation since I’ve read about this topic. My mother has a friend who does past life regressions and I’ve considered having that done, but mostly out of curiosity.
Evelyn, thanks so much for sharing this journey your on with us. I’m not really sure where I’m at in this whole process. The idea of a past life is still foreign to me. But it’s one I want to understand better. Especially after reading your very personal story here. I also love the quote about a “spiritual being immersed in a human experience”. When I am reminded of this, I am reminded that I am a spiritual being. And that it’s ok to let that out…I’m working my way there. Stories like this help very much.
@Marelisa, oh…ok…thanks for sharing that you are considering past life regressions. Do share your findings with me, if you really did decide to try a session out!
I have more dealings with hypnotherapists (a few of my friends are in this profession) than clients myself. They have shared with me a handful of interesting stories; though, no names are mentioned due to protecting the privacy of their clients and no specifics are given.
It’ll be interesting to hear an account from a client’s perspective. Keep me posted, ok?
@Lance, I’m glad to know that at least you choose to be open to the idea. My opinion is that it is not in my place, nor anyone else’s, to convince you whether there is such a thing as past lives or not. You’d have to find that out for yourself. My intent here is to share my personal journey and what has risen from my subconscious into my conscious awareness. I wish you all the best in your journey to seek the truth!
Hi Evelyn, I very much appreciate your gracious yet penetrating reply. Attitudes of modesty and humility for the sake of spirituality have their place with me, too. An ego saturated with vice is really no way to live. I’ve also had too many other-worldly experiences while physically asleep to think that I am not, in fact, a spirit in human form. I am intimately familiar with my own suffering through this lifetime and I’m unusually practiced at being a dissolving witness to it, such that my interest in past life experience to understand and heal myself is really just an extension of this duality.
I would maintain that our current lifetimes are but small (yet significant) streams in much longer, larger journeys. In light of this, I’m convinced that if we can foster the eternal perspective (viewing ourselves in the light of eternity), we can also burn away the many mundane, trivial, insignificant, irrelevant, frivolous events and details of our lives. While I agree that it’s prudent not to get stuck in the past (but instead, to live full lives now, going forward), I would also encourage an exploratory attitude towards personal past life experience and to view it as part of our creative evolution.
We are clearly evolving at an accelerating pace. This, and the suffering that we endure, and the amnesia (partial for some, complete for others) that surrounds where we came from, are, for me, indications of an ability and willingness to subject ourselves to perceived limitations so that we might forget (at least for a time) that we are powerful beyond measure. Of course, we will regain this power fully in a future time and place, at which time, we will orchestrate its loss willingly so that we might once again remember what it means to be hopeless, helpless, and powerless.
Light and Love on the Circular Path of Eternity,
Christopher
I feel more strongly about past lives and wish I could understand more about mine because I feel that in this life I have had some suffering perhaps based on some bad karma from past lives or life. I want to know more and understand it better. I am just beginning to acknowledge this component to my life. I have thought about it before but never too deeply and now I am giving a little more weight to it. I don’t seem to be able to ignore it anymore. Thanks for sharing all your experiences. I love hearing your thoughts on your journey.
Hello Christopher,
I’m glad that you share the same thoughts in humility. A quote that I remember and think that you may enjoy…
“Humility is like underwear, essential, but indecent if it shows” — by Helen Nielsen
It’s also great that you have benefitted well from using past life experiences for healing purposes and to lend perspective to our creative evolution. I can see where your exploration is possibly leading you to, as my own journey is beginning to do the same for me: an expanding knowing (or remembrance) of Self. Yes..indeed…we are more powerful than we realize!
I wish you all the best in your spiritual journey! May you be liberated from your ignorance and suffering; and in remembering, gain back your power in all eternity!
Love, light and truth,
Evelyn
Karen,
If you have a nagging feeling that something is missing or if you are continually getting stuck for no apparent reasons in your life, then I’d encourage you to go investigate for answers.
To access past life memories, you can choose to allocate time to meditate every day and making the intention for healing just before your quiet sitting. You can also consider asking your spirit guides for help to bring any into your awareness relating to the issue that you are trying to solve, prior to meditating. If no answers are forthcoming, do not despair. Just keep at it every night. Never seek but let any flash arise naturally.
Of course, if you want faster results, you can also see a hypnotherapist for help. He or she should be able to regress you to a time whereby an imprint has somehow been made in your subconscious.
If you do not care about the regression process itself, then another way is to see a psychic who can do a past life reading. For this method, the psychic is able to tune into your subconscious and relate what has happened to you in a previous lifetime. This method can be very fast and a good reader (who can connect to you well) is able to gather relevant and sufficent facts for healing purposes. Any other details is pretty much redundant!
You can also choose to know your soul origination and have your soul cleansed from accessing your Akashic records. This method will not offer you as much previous lifetime details as compared to past life regressions and readings. The focus is more on the cleansing.
Then, of course, there are the hypnotherapists who specialize in life-between-life regression therapy. For this, you find out what happens in-between lifetimes.
Hope the above info helps! I note a certain despair from the words you’ve shared. May you find relief from suffering soon!
Hugs,
Evelyn
“My conclusion is that it is my soul’s intention to know itself experientially…”
That sounds right for me, too. I’m always surprised when people say that this is their last earthly incarnation (is it possible they could just be bragging?), because I love it here and feel that earthly life is too short. I guess I’ll be back many times.
My hints of past lives didn’t really seem to relate much to my present life, except in the case of one and I was already working on that. I really wasn’t sure what to do with that past life information.
Hi Evelyn,
When I was young I had very vivid dreams which I know were past life memories. Some of them were extremely disturbing, particularly the train dreams.
But as I got older I came to realize that since we all come from the same source, or are the same source, for some reason I am tuning in to these memories or this frequency, for lack of better terminology, for some reason. Probably for something I need to learn.
I agree with you that there is no reason to delve into the past and become fascinated and attached to it. Look into the past if you are stuck and if it can help your current life.
I do believe that anyone can tap into this ESP or whatever you want to call it. Some people seem to be closer to the surface than others, but it is possible for anyone to access into other dimensions beyond our current seemingly accessible three. I think the time has come for this and we are at that paradigm shift.
Thanks for helping all of us in these endeavors.
I would also like to add that sometimes since language is so “concrete” it is sometimes near to impossible to describe things of the spirit. I mean, we can talk about layers, fields, or dimensions, but if people have never experienced it it sounds far fetched to say the least. It’s not like saying to a baby over and over “look at your feet, look at your toes.” But maybe that’s what has to be done. I don’t know. Frustrating.
I have just finished once again Stanislav Grof’s book The Holotropic Mind. He is a brilliant psychiatrist who had researched “altered states” of reality for his entire career. There are a few people investigating realms other than what has been laid down in science as the Newtonian paradigm. David Bohm the physicist, and his ideas of the Hologram of reality is quite facinating. Rupert Sheldrake, the biologist, and his ideas of morphogenetic fields, is another researcher who has ideas that relate to a more wholistic understanding.
I throw these names out in case anyone wants to look them up. I hope we have more access in the future to these “alternative” viewpoints. It seems strange to me that we barely learn of Jung in a beginning psyche class.
Hi Evelyn – Your descriptions of yourself in Egypt were so vivid the other day and if learning about your past lives is helping you in this life, that is a good thing.
I had a soul reading with Akemi and that helped a lot. It wasn’t a painless process but it really helped with a lot of issues I’ve been struggling with in this life.
Hi Evelyn, I smiled when I read your quote on humility. Let’s keep our underwear covered, shall we? It’s hard to be humble in a world where so much is so dense. And yes, let’s not take ourselves too seriously
Speaking of humility, I think we need to remember that liberation from ignorance and suffering is but a small part of the overall scheme of things, as long as we’re evolving creatively, culturally, and consciously.
Let us not allow mere ignorance and suffering to fool us into thinking that another life is not worth living.
Blessings,
Christopher
I never thought much about past lives until I was at university and I went with a friend to see a psychic. My friend was curious, but skeptical about the whole thing. That is until she was told she had been a seamstress in the 1800s in London and she was murdered one night walking home from work.
Apparently the weapon of choice was a pick axe in the back of her head. The psychic had no idea why she felt compelled to tell us this, but I saw my friend had gone very white. I was concerned it had all been a bit much to hear, but then she flipped her head over and showed us that beneath her thick mane of red hair she had a massive birth mark right in the middle of her skull. If I’d ever had a doubt about past lives before, I didn’t after that.
Thanks for sharing your spiritual journey with us, Evelyn. It’s fascinating.
Kelly
I have thought about the issue of past lives before, though never very seriously. In some ways, I find it rather disturbing. But I have read some very convincing accounts. For me, the jury is out to be honest.
@Dot, I doubt that these people are bragging. I’ve got personal friends who have been “told” the same. I have no reason to doubt that. They have nothing to gain by saying that either.
I’m not sure if going to a psychic can help you unravel the mystery of the past life you are talking about. A lot of things also did not make sense to me; until I piece the general message of a few past lives together.
@Ellen, yes it is true. Language itself can be limiting. It is hard to explain things like “layers, fields, or dimensions”. Even words “inner knowing” which I often use on this blog has no significance to me, until I experienced it myself.
You sure do read a lot. Other than reading a book on parallel universe, I have to admit that I have not ventured much into reading about altered states of reality or about other forms of dimension. However, I know that I’d be fascinated with these ideas and concepts as well. So thanks for introducing some names for me to check on!
@Cath, oh yes…soul readings are hardly painful. It is the past life memories that are. When you invoke the memory of a past life, you will feel the pain and the trauma because these negative emotions leave an imprint in the deep recesses of your subconscious.
I’m kind of like a junkie. I try them all….LOL!! I approach things from the perspective of experimentation. It is only with an open mind, can I seek and discover for myself the truth. Don’t get me wrong either. I am not without doubt. However, I try not to let fear or ignorance stop me. It is something I work on every other day.
Hi Christopher, I’m glad that you got the subtle message about not taking things too seriously
Must all forms of evolving creatively, culturally and consciously take place here on Earth? I don’t really know. It may well be in another time-space reality, another dimension.
Regardless of whatever views you may have about whether a future life (and with all the pain and suffering) is worth coming back for or not, I’m sure you’d agree with me that the most important thing is to live the best life possible Now
Namaste
Hi Kelly,
Thanks for sharing the story about your friend. I’m glad that you came forth to tell it. For a while, I fear being called a “nut” for writing about past life memories.
Your story reminds me of one shared by a friend of mine, who could also go into her past lives. She said that one of her friends in the current life had been an enemy in her previous, whom she was forced to kill. When I asked her if the knowledge of the previous lifetime had any effect on her relationship with her friend now, she said No. She replied that the past is the past. It is over. The circumstances before is not happening now.
Love, light and truth,
Evelyn
Effortless Abundance, read my response to Lance. It applies to you too. I invite you to seek the truth for yourself!

The account by Kelly freaked me out by I’ve heard and seen similar stuff before. I’ve always thought that I was a religious leader and a woman in one of my past lives. Strangely though, I don’t really like religion in this life.
I am not sure about all my past but I can say one thing.
I am convinced that GINGER, my golden retreiver has awakened in a past life and came back to be a blessing in this one. She is the best example I know of living in abundance, giving love unconditionally, receiving love from absolute strangers and seemlingly having no baggage to deal with.
@Janice, I like that quote from Hamlet. I’m glad that you’ve enjoyed my post.
@chris, well…I’m sure that you do realize that there is a difference between religion and spirituality. You may not like religion but at heart, you may just well be spiritual. You may just want to explore from this angle.
@Harmony, I laughed when I read about GINGER. I’d love to meet her – your shining example of how best to live life! Thanks for sharing
All of this is so interesting, I am a very intuitive person, and would just like to say that we all are longing for a life of order and peace that is laced with love and acceptance. Our lives today have many influences that shape our being. Animals, I believe are sent to us to give us that unconditional love and acceptance.
Glimpses into our past experiences are important in helping us to cope with situations we face in this life! I think it is so cool when we come in contact with a soul from the past that you have know idea their connection, but know they fit in somehow.
I like your perspective on this. I often regard past life memories much the same way I do dreams, information wrapped in a story. The information that moves us forward is the important part, not the storyline that carries it…
Evelyn,
Yes, I do read a lot! Ha! Well, I am hoping that that the scientific and spiritual will be reconciled. I think we have gone to far in the direction of intellect and need to get back into spirit and love. I do think ego is a big problem in our lives.
Ego is small and terrified and does its best to trick us into thinking it’s more. Echart Tolle does a great job of discussing all of that.
Thanks for sharing all of this great info. I am off to read your Egypt post.
In a way it is nice to take a blogging break because I can really spend a lot more time on my fellow blogging friend’s websites.
Thanks again. E
