Self Love Series: Take A Self Love Quiz

by Evelyn on April 5, 2011

Do you love yourself?

How is your relationship with the self like?

When you dive into the center of your heart, can you honestly that you love yourself unconditionally, unreservedly and freely?

Take the Self Love Quiz: Do You Love Yourself

Well, I am starting a Self Love Series for the month of April. For the Self Love Series, I intend to publish articles, tips and pictures about loving the self during the following weeks. It will be a month of love, inspiration, awareness and celebration of our being. And to start off, I am featuring a quiz today.

Self Love Quiz

When I first started on my inner journey, I did not know what is meant by having self love. It took me a while to figure things out on my own. Hence, for my Self Love quiz, I crafted a list of questions in order to help you in your understanding. The beauty of this quiz maker is that it allows me to provide a few pointers after you have answered each question.

To create this free quiz, I tried out a couple of online software. None was completely fully satisfactory. Eventually, I had to settle on the best one that is suited for my intent. It was one that I have used previously. Even then, I feel that it is important for me to explain about the online quiz creator that I have chosen.

When you take the quiz, you would realize that if you pick the option that is least indicative of self love, the outcome of your choice is reflected as “wrong”. Please know that it is not my intention to pass a judgment between “correct” and “wrong”. Try as I can but I am not able to change the labels used which are automatically generated.

So I urge you to take the quiz with an awareness that there is no “correct” or “wrong” answer. Rather, the outcome of your choice should read “most indicative” or “less indicative” of self love. Bearing this in mind, do go ahead and check out the quiz below!

Hi Evelyn, this quiz was fun to do. I knew all the “right” answers, but your quiz was still a great reminder of the many ways we can love ourselves with heartfelt appreciation. Some of the lower percentages of “right” answers for some of the questions indicated some telling trends with your readers. The deficits revealed might have some practical use as topics for future posts.

Love and light,
Christopher

Hello Christopher,

I didn’t realize that completing a quiz on Self Love on the part of the participant could be fun. So thanks for letting me know that :-)

I’ll also be popping by to have a look at the stats. Now that you’ve triggered my attention, I am interested to find out.

With love,
Evelyn

Hi Evelyn,
That was a fun quiz, thank you for putting it together. It seems to be a great untapped resource for bringing in blog traffic too as well as a great way to get ideas for new posts. I see that your first quiz has already produced great results, I am going to try that quiz after commenting.

I “missed” just one, needing to work on laughing at myself more easily. I’m glad to have scored so well, I know that years ago I would have scored much lower.

I look forward to the rest of your series!
Stacy

Hello Stacy,

I quite forgot that I have made a quiz previously. I only recalled that I did one before after having decided to create one for self love and was looking for a suitable quiz maker. So I was rather surprised to see the stats of the old one.

And if you look into Quiz Revolution as a quiz maker, you would realize that it has the platform to help you “educate” participants and point out relevant links to your old posts too. So yes…it helps to bring in blog traffic, in addition to serving as a fun “teaching tool”. By the way, I am not an affiliate or connected to Quiz Revolution. After spending a day checking out on platforms, I recommend either Quiz Revolution or Quibblo.

It’s great that you’ve missed just one. It’s something that I find that I’m doing more and more these days. Laughing helps to shift perspective. We catch ourselves in the moment of awareness, know that we are at “it” again, laugh and reframe on what better-feeling thoughts we can align with next.

Sure…I look forward to providing more creative and inspiring posts! Thanks for stopping by!

Love always,
Evelyn

Self-love is something I’ve struggled with until recently. I felt I wasn’t pretty, skinny, or smart enough. I would compare myself to my friends, entertainers and critique myself. I attribute it to being bombarded with images of Barbie and trying to fit a cookie cutter image of a “perfect American woman.” It wasn’t until the standards of beauty began to loosen, with Beyonce, JLo, Christina Hendriks, that I began to realize that it’s ok to be curvy. I don’t need to attempt to continually starve myself to achieve a level of beauty, that most don’t have anyway. I am pretty and smart enough, and I am finally just happy to be me!!

Good for you, Michele. We are born with different body types and shapes. There is no “perfect” or “one” look. Despite the differences, we are all beautiful. It’s great that you’ve learned to accept how you look and being able to recognize that you have other wonderful qualities about yourself.

Evelyn

Hi Evelyn,
I’m so glad you are writing about this topic. I struggle with not loving myself as I deserve. It’s a tough one for me, but I think I’m getting better & I’m interested in really, truely loving myself. The quiz was great. It helped me to see what I need to focus on. Thanks so much Evelyn! I’m looking forward to more!

Hello Dandy,

I applaud you for your courage in sharing about your struggle. It’s not easy to acknowledge that one has difficulty with loving oneself. Yet, I believe that this is a root problem with the vast majority of the people. I hope to share what I have learned through having done inner work and experience. I look forward to knowing more about what your thoughts on self love are.

Hi Evelyn,
What a neat program… very empowering. I can see a lot of potential with more of those quizzes. Personally, I’m doing well in the Self-Love department these days! :) It is interesting to note that the “wrong” answers are all very unnatural and are handed to us by a harsh world-voice. The “right” answers are quite natural which indicates that living from our Authentic-Self is always a stripping away – never something we need to add.

Evelyn Reply:

Hello Rob,

Will you be creating a quiz yourself? You sound like someone who’d do something fun LOL! Glad to know that you’re doing well in the Self Love department!

Oh yes…the “right” answers always feels positive, uplifting and embracing while those that are “wrong” are about rejection, suppression and psychological annihilation. Agree with what you say about operating from our authentic self! It’s the way to true self love.

With love,
Evelyn

The quiz is not working properly, repeating questions and telling me i am wrong when the answer i chose was the right one.

But I truly appreciate the 17 ways to love myself. thanks

Hello Marcus,

I did the test again. It seems to be working now. Before publishing this quiz, I have also done a number of trials to make sure. Would you like to try it again?

Apologies for the inconvenience,

I got ‘most’ of these correct and knew what many of the right answers should be but couldn’t stop myself from the incorrect approaches. It just shows Evelyn that as far as love goes we are all work under progress especially to ourselves. Awesome quiz and highly insightful.

Evelyn, what can I say, I got 17 out of 20! I like who I am but I answered truthfully. I’m probably not always the biggest fan of how I handle things. :) Thanks for making me think today!

Thanks for taking the quiz, Bryan. It’s awesome knowing that you love yourself. I am sure that you would find better ways of handling things, should you choose to and whenever you are ready.

Hi Evelyn,

That was an interesting quiz to take. While answering the questions, it did get me to look more closely at myself. All in all, I got 17 out of 20. I could use some work accepting praise and compliments. And I could also laugh at myself more often.

Thank you for sharing this lovely quiz! :)

I really like the question-driven approach and I think it’s a great forcing-function to get clarity on priorities.

Thank you, J.D., for your feedback. Hmm…when I created the quiz, I didn’t realize that it would have the result of creating more focus. But it’s great knowing that it can help do that!

Evelyn,
That was fantastic! I cannot believe how marvelously capable you are with technology. You never cease to amaze me.!!

I loved the quiz. You came up with excellent questions. I still tend to eat at times to “calm” myself when I feel frazzled and wish I could go back and fix mistakes I’ve found after completing certain things, so I do have some work to do, but for the most part I feel very good about myself. Many years ago after reading Louise Hay’s classic: You Can Heal Your Life I began to look in the mirror and tell myself that I loved myself, and you know I think it took years but I finally did realize I loved myself sometime after I reached 40 years old. Thanks for this fabulous post and quiz!

[Reply]

Evelyn Reply:

Hello Angela,

You Can Heal Your Life was my first book too. While I liked it very much, I felt that I had a lot more to understand about self love. In the end, I realized that answers had to be sourced internally and from the divine.

It’s great that you’ve reached a loving space. It’s taken me years too and I’m still working on myself. As I’ve shared with Irving, I found self love to be a continuous process. It’s a movement away from fear and a reconnection back to source.

Evelyn

I was reminded of the instruction in the airplane–put your oxygen mask on first before helping someone else. We have to love ourselves first to be able to love others. Thank you!

Evelyn,

I have deactivated my facebook profile.
But tonight I did a google search of my name, as I am going for a new job, and lo and behold I see I have written my tragic life story with my full facebook name. Anyone can see it if they wanted to do a search on me, and I am begging you to please delete my comment. I do not want anyone to see it. I am talking about my virginity, my son, my mother. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE delete this response from me. I had no idea it was here, but I dont want it here anymore. I was being far too honest – which is just stupid.

Kind regards, Simone. xx

This was a good opportunity to take an honest look at my internal dialogure. I’m encouraging others to live physically and mentally healthy and its humbling to realize that I also need to build my “positivity” muscles as well as my physical muscles. Thanks

Hello Stacie,

We often overlook our mental diet, in addition to the physical one. So I am glad that you are encouraging others to look into living their physical and mental wellness. When we start to tune in, we often discover that our internal dialogue has not been a very supportive one. It’s time to change it!

All the best,
Evelyn

Nice quiz.. however the answers started to get a bit pridictable and easy to guess the correct answer. I need to take it again and be 100% truthful with myself and see where I would rank.. There was at least one question that I think I had more than one truthful answer.

[Reply]

Evelyn Reply:

Hello Robert,

The answers you give seem “predictable” because you already intuitively know what is aligned with your heart. But whether you follow them or not is where the issue lies.

It’s great that you understand that you need to be more truthful when you answer the questions. Awareness and follow-up actions lead to breakthroughs.

Hi Evelyn,

I did fairly decent on the test, I was brought to this post because I’ve been told twice now in two different psychic sessions that I need to have self love. I’m still not sure what I need to do to improve.
