My Gratitude To You

by Evelyn on December 30, 2009

I would like to express my gratitude with today’s post. Let me first start by sharing what gratitude really means.

(A heart-shaped leaf from the Hibiscus Tree)

Gratitude Definition

Gift of giving
Remembrance of all that is good
A touchstone of global transformation
Transition of greatness
In acts of kindness
True wealth and abundance
Unyielding compassion
Divine clarity
Everlasting commitment to appreciation

Beautiful definition, isn’t it? Lee Bower, who appeared in The Secret, created his own acrostic for the word “gratitude”. The above lines were quoted in The Vision Board Book.

I Express My Gratitude

In the spirit of what gratitude is about, allow me to express my thanks. This site would not have been possible without the support of some of those closest to me. Most importantly, much thanks to my husband who has encouraged me to keep it going during some of my most challenging periods. My thanks also to my kids who keep me on my toes everyday with lessons on patience and making peace.

With much appreciation, I also note that my decision to move to a new site is met with support and kindness. In the move, I have not lost that many of my subscribers. Thousands remain. I also received many validations for what I was doing from readers throughout the year.

I am forever grateful that what initially started as a site to make money has taught me the value of true abundance and wealth. I learn this with the support of every single one of you.

I also thank my clients who taught me much about myself, my values and commitments and where I need to go. I sometimes wonder if they are being sent by the Universe to teach or remind me of an important lesson instead.

Then, there is my spiritual team as well (much thanks to Mia, my spirit guide). There have been moments when I thought I was being abandoned somewhat. But through it all, they were behind me in my development….quietly coming forth only when I decided to be still and to let go!

My Gratitude to Mother Earth

Thanks to Suzie, I got to know about the following clip made by makers of The Secret. The video clip encapsulates my love and gratitude to Mother Earth as well….

Best Wishes for the New Year

Well, this post is going to be my last for the year. I am occupied with a number of projects this period. I intend to be back with a new post sometime in mid-Jan 2010.

In the meantime, please take care!
And…..To Abundance for a Brand New 2010! !!!!

Evelyn,
You shine abundance and gratitude always. Being here, along on this journey with you – that is a gift. Your words touch deeply in my soul, and I am forever grateful for that, and for your presence in my life. Keep shining, awesome friend!

Wonderful site, Evelyn! Your writing reflects so much beauty and love which I believe comes inherently from you or through you as a reflector of things you choose to be focus on. The message throughout is pretty clear: that you are moving, searching and reaching, in the process, evolving. It’s also clear one of the main aims is healing, and I could sense very very deep injury too in the past. Your family is now your emotional bedrock, the world your oyster. Your friends and readers have benefitted profoundly from your works and thoughts.

I just love the heartshaped leaf, beautiful like this post, thanks for the poem and like Lance I am grateful to know you and share a similar journey along this abundance path. I love the new direction you have taken with the blog and I always get a new insight on each visit.
Thanks for the link love and for your friendship
In appreciation

There are no individuals Evelyn – we are simply all part of the HUMAN BEING and in order for this being to blossom we all most work together in unity and harmony – this is SYMBIOSIS ………
And may your 2010 / 2012 be full of light/love and truth and may you prosper in readiness for the change – NOT THE END BUT CHANGE that will bring in THE BEGINNING OF WHAT THE NEXT PATTERN WE ARE TO SYMBIOTICALLY BE WORKING WITH COMES INTO FULL EXPRESSION … IT IS NOW TIME TO GRADUALLY WITHDRAW FROM WORKING AND LIVING WITH THE CURRENT WORLD PATTERN – FOR IT’S TIME OF COMPLETION DRAWS NEAR TO AN END.
WE THEN MUST EMBRACE THE NEW PATTERN – WORKING WITH EACH OTHER AS A WHOLE AND TO PUT DOWN THE TOOLS OF OWNERSHIP AND MONEY AND MATERIAL AQUISITION AND PICK UP THE TOOLS OF MATURE UNIVERSAL LOVE AND WORKING WITH UNIVERSAL LAW TO MANIFEST AND CREATE THE NEW WORLD PLANETARY COMMUNITY.

Hi Evelyn .. the gratitude acrostic says it all .. I liked the word touchstone ..as well as the others. Your new site is great and a good move – you’re always doing things ..thinking, giving us ideas to think about – your Christmas trees – I gave a copy to an Indian nurse .. today I must see what she says about it ..

The video is superb – we really should be out there protecting ourselves, and all the flora and fauna ensuring we live on ..

Good for you and it’s a pleasure to be around with you – enjoy the peace and time to think break .. and see you next year: Happy New Year

Hi Evelyn: I remember the first post I ever read by you was about doing a bit of “house cleaning” in our minds, and it was based on the Silva System which I’ve been practicing for years. I thought: “This is someone who I probably have a lot in common with.” And ever since then I’ve being enjoying your enlighting posts. :-) Have a great 2010 Evelyn!

Katie West/The Levity Coach December 31, 2009 at 12:18 am

Evelyn,
Gosh, How I adore you. I read your post early this morning and my eyes filled with tears and then I did a little joyful dance in the kitchen. My husband looked up and asked me “What is it?”
And I responded with “It’s Evelyn. She is just wonderful!” Knowing you more this year has touched me on a deeper level not only because I love what you write and recommend(I bought the Goddess Cards by D. Virtue because of you!) but more so because you have taught me that spirit and energy is not bound by physical limitations, country borders, or time. Spirit is forever connecting us all as much as we allow it to. I am grateful you are woven into my tapestry and I yours.

Megan "JoyGirl!" Bord January 10, 2010 at 10:28 am

Oh my gosh, I feel like Rip Van Winkle — I nodded off (took a blogging break) in December, and come back to find all of this! Speaking of gratitude, THANK YOU! My incredible thanks to you, Evelyn, for putting forth the incredibly inspiring words that you do on a regular basis. I love what you’re all about, and what you have to say. Thank you, too, for loving your readers so completely, and being so generous with your accolades. You are a bright, shining star in the midnight sky, and I am so completely honored to be a part of your world.

As for the definition of gratitude, this part really grabbed me, “Everlasting commitment to appreciation.” For me, that sums it up beautifully.

Happy 2010, and here’s to a year that exceeds all of our fondest dreams and draws the world closer together with the energies of love and compassion.

Love the video! Thanks. I was intrigued at the words that came up at the end – I thought they were an unusual touch.

love from Rob
