An Enchanting Vision From My Angels

by Evelyn on September 4, 2008

butterfly vision

It happened in a flash.

An Enchanting Vision that came into my mind.

While deep in meditation, I saw a picture of a forest of wooded trees. There was nothing special about this still image. It was in monochrome; black and white and mostly greys. The forest was dense, filled with trees having slim trunks. The leaves of the trees covered the sky. There was no light.

However, right from the middle of the forest, soon came a flurry of butterflies. Against the dull background, their colors were magnificent; wings dipped in the colors of the rainbow. There were tons and tons of them flying out. It was amazing! The sound of their wings in motion broke the silence of the forest. They flew right to the front but to the side, so that I still could see the small opening of the light that now comes from the middle. I was awestruck!

Then, in what seemed like a short few minutes, the vision disappeared.

I was in a state of gap when it happened on late Sunday morning. Was it a vision sent by angels or spirit guides? I have been trying to ask them for one for weeks but have not gotten any response. The vision felt so real that I’m inclined to believe that here was their reply!

Interestingly, my vision came at a time when I was engaged in a creative pursuit. I had spent the entire weekend trying to make a Mind Movie and was nurturing my soul so much that I just could not stop. My senses were stimulated. They received a constant flood of music, beautiful pictures and empowering affirmations, while I worked on my video. I ended sleeping very little and when Sunday finally came, I had to take short breaks every now and then to rest. It was during a meditative break that I had the enchanting vision.

After Sunday, I fretted for two days. I thought it would be nice to share the vision with my readers but felt that there was no way that I could closely depict my mental image. In the end, I decided to go ahead and create a Photoshop picture (see above) to accompany this post. Even after editing my picture a few times, it still pales in comparison to the actual vision. I may just have to do one in acrylic paint eventually; but for now, with my limited skills in the Photoshop software, I guess the above illustrated picture will just have to do!

Color Your World

I’ve been reading from various sources that art is often used as a channel for accessing intuitive awareness. So here’s the thing. If you are facing some blockages to being more intuitive or in connecting more closely with your Spirit guides and angels, how about using art to open up your channels? If my experience is anything to go by, it may just be the medium you need to bridge any missing link.

Don’t feel artistic? Read my article here on how to remove your blocks to creativity.

Exploring art may seem like taking a creative risk. It means having to leave your head and open your heart. Just think about it – does it really matter if you end up doing bad art? The idea is to have fun! You can doodle, scribble, make poetry, dance – anything! It is a way of nurturing your soul and raising your energy consciousness. It does not matter if you make a mess. You can color outside the lines if you want to. Make whimsical pictures. Write a poem, even if some of your lines do not rhyme. Choose to be honest and bold. Be prepared to explore an imaginary world outside your comfort zone.

Share Your Beautiful Vision
I believe that my angels and guides must have sent a million visions down my way almost every other day. They probably sent a ton more, whenever I feel down, stressed and in difficulties. But there was no way I could see, sense or hear anything previously because I was not in touch intuitively or chose to be spiritually awakened.

Soul Realignment: Professional Intuitive Development

I am therefore very grateful to have caught the vision on Sunday morning. After weeks of asking for a sign, I was finally in a creative space to receive one. The clarity and magnificence of my vision can only mean one thing to me: – Oh yes, my angels and spirit guides are near!

Now, over to you. Have you encountered a beautiful vision personally? Can you share about it in the comments below? Also, what did you do to improve your spiritual pathway, in order to receive a message from your angels?

I think you are pretty good at Photoshop, that photograph looks very interesting. I agree that we’re sent messages all the time but out mind is moving so fast that we miss them. It’s an interesting idea that creative pursuits help us open our minds to messages from our Higher Self and our spirit guides as well. Thank you for the link love.

I like your description of visions. I don’t often have visions per se, but I used to daydream and interact with my spirit guides very often. I still do, of course. But depending on what was happening in my life, they would appear differently. Like if I was working on my computer a lot, I would interact with my spirit guides through a text-environment. Pretty hilarious right?

Keep up the great posts!

Hi Evelyn

What a beautiful vision! Your photoshop skills don’t look too limited to me. I find it can be great but also exhausting when I get hyped up from a creative project – it’s great when ideas keep flowing thick and fast.

I don’t think I really have visions – I more have ideas, if that makes sense. Thanks for the link!

Sometimes we just have to be open to receiving a vision. And I love your picture. I’m imagining the picture you must have saw in your head – what an image!

I have one time I can recall where I felt completely connected to this world and beyond. That angels were amongst me. It was many years ago. I was in high school. Weird, because that’s not a time I recall being very reflective. But it’s a moment I’ll never forget. It was strange. I was cutting the grass at our house. There I was, riding on the lawnmower through the yard. And I just had this moment where the sky seemed to open up. In magnificent glory. The world seemed so awesome at the moment. Even for me being a high school student, where life was not about the truly great and wondrous things out there. It lasted for maybe 30 seconds. There wasn’t an image in my head so much, but more that the way I looked at the sky and beyond just seemed to explode with beauty.

I haven’t had a moment like that since. And I can only think that now it would be a much more enlightening experience. Maybe it’s because I get caught up in the busy-ness of everyday life. And don’t take the opportunities enough to be creatively opened up. I could learn much from you here, Evelyn. I could learn much from my children (thanks for the mention above). I could learn much from just creatively trying new things.

Inspiring, have you actually used the images besides in the blog then?

I’m asking since most of my vision came out of a specific problem or a basic idea, where then the solution or a huge enhancement of the ideas flows in form of a vision. I can also call it intuition but it clearly takes something to a hole new level. Most of the things I manifest (maybe all of them, who knows!) come from those insights.

What a beautiful vision, Evelyn. (Your picture is very good too, though I know what you mean… the most beautiful earthly picture can pale in comparison to spiritual vision).

I love painting, though it’s been a while since I’ve put brush to canvas :( Now that I have a new house, maybe I can paint some pictures to decorate the rooms!

It indeed is an enchanting vision. And the photo has come out beautifully. While we might not be able to see the vision you saw 100%, this surely hints how marvellous it must have been.

When we get into a creative mode, we allow ourselves to simply be in the moment and stop judging everything. I believe it is because of this it acts as a channel to intuitive awareness.

@Marelisa, do try to see if what I said about using art works in opening ourselves up to receiving messages is true. I’m sure you’d find it an interesting experience, from an experiment point of view!

@Nathalie, thanks for sharing your experience. It sounds amazing that you can get to interact with your spirit guides while typing on the computer as well. They sure know how to “reach” you!

@Robin, I know what you mean by getting exhausted after being caught up in a creative flow! I was down for more than a day with a cold from having slept so little! Thanks for saying that my picture looks great the way it is!

Evelyn September 4, 2008 at 11:30 am

@Lance, I’m totally with you in your brief description of what happened. It sure sounds awesome!! An experience like that need not lasts long in order for it to stick in our minds.

Oh…we can learn a lot from each other and our children, most definitely! I believe that the lesson is clear, don’t you think? To open up our spiritual pathways, we can do much by exploring creativity and connecting to our Souls on a deeper level.

@Myrko, nope…I have not used my images elsewhere. I’ve explored different ways of doing art but most of my pursuits are in the name of fun.

You sound like you’ve got a magic touch, with the ability to turn your insights into manifestations. Fascinating!

Evelyn September 4, 2008 at 11:36 am

@Mags, I’m glad that you understand what I mean by my picture not being a pure and accurate representation of the actual vision. If you should be painting pictures to decorate your rooms, I’d be interested to see them. Do take some photos to post!

@Avani, you’ve pointed out an important fact that when we are engaged creatively, we no longer judge. We are able to see things in its purest form. We put ourselves on a higher plane of Being. Creativity flows at its best and our spiritual communications.

That’s a great picture you’ve put together in photoshop, definitely helps understand what you’ve seen.

I’ve stumbled the post, and just wanted to ask when you started getting visualisations in your meditation? Usually I’m just very content, at peace and relaxed but I never see visions…

when me and my last partner were in the woods we were chanting some prayer and puting oiled grains into a fire when all of the sudden a huge wind was whirling all around us and we heard a lion roaring .Next we ran to a small hunters cabin and closed the door and then we could hear these sound’s of different deep chanting that sounded like “om aaaaa hung,om mane padme hung and other mantras”.Next the sound started to swirl around us going from higher to lower sometimes concentrating in the center of the room.Next I heard some kind of techno /drum and bass dance music beat’s behind it (which for me is totally incredible because I have always felt it to be important to create something like that but never knowing if it is only my false ego trying to dictate it’s own perverted desires or it being somekind of divine inspiration.)the music and chanting continued to swirl, later my partner (who at that time because of some near death experience that left her 3rd eye blasted open)told me what it looked like ,she said that we were at this long table with all of these different masters on both sides all dresed in the colors of the rainbow and with om’s emanating from their 3rd eyes and palm’s of hand’s with some kind of wave energy emanating from them and their were many tables on each side of us .Anywase this all confirmed for me that it is important to continue to have created music like that but thing’s are mooving slow by myself and I can use some help.I am trying ti aquire the paraphanelia to make that kind of music and I am seeking abundance to bring together the resources neccesary to do this soon.if anyone has any advice or guidance from their spirit guides as to what I should do about this vision please share I could use some help with this one.

Evelyn, I love your vision. It’s wonderful to see and hear how you’ve opened your heart to the imagination. I can also see that you’re stretching yourself into the realm of art, allowing your inner poetess to grow and blossom into the beautiful spirit that she is. I am so inspired by this, in awe of this, feeling nourished and enchanted by this. Your angels and guides love you. I can see this, too. You’ve been blessed by their love.

Giving you the gift of my words, here, now, is one way for me to open a path to my inner guidance. As for a vison of my own, the vibrant image of crystal clear ice mountains in blue and white came to my mind while I read your account. I saw them in a lucid dream, below me, as I flew through the air. Or was it astral? To this day, I still do not know. But I remain deeply grateful for the experience. Nourish the soul to reap the benefits.

Love and light,

Hi Evelyn – What a brilliant vision. You’ve done a great job of photoshopping the picture. I’m just learning it and I haven’t managed to create anything that good yet.

I haven’t really got any stories to share yet. Until Akemi did my akashic record reading a little while ago, I had no spirit guides, because I’d given away part of my soul. I have them now then and they’ve been helping me but I’ve received no visions yet.

Evelyn September 4, 2008 at 8:26 pm

Glenn, I only started meditating on an every day basis since late (like Nov/Dec) last year. As for visions or anything intuitively accessed like the one I’ve described here, I’ve only just started noticing anything seriously, say about two months. I can say that I’ve been largely tuning out most of my life.

You can start by asking. Your spirit guides and angels will not respond if you do not even ask them in the first place. So before you go into a meditation, just make an intent and ask for seeing a sign. You have to do your asking sincerely and with great belief that your prayer will be answered. As you go into meditation, do not seek for what you’ve asked for. Never attach to your desired asking. It may come subtlely; so you will have to be very aware to “catch” it. Don’t also forget to thank them after you’ve meditated or if they’ve sent you something nice.

With my short history in meditation, it’s plain to see that I am no expert. Perhaps it’s better this way. As I encounter my difficulties, I can share on my blog what I’ve done to achieve a breakthrough.

Hope the above helps!

Love and light,
Evelyn

dharani-dharendra-das, what you’ve described sounds amazing! I wouldn’t think it is a figment of your imagination. Very often, I can distinguish when it is and when it is not. I get it through a sense of inner knowing. Sometimes, lucid dreams also leave me highly emotional. They usually represent some uncleared past.

You said “if anyone has any advice or guidance from their spirit guides as to what I should do about this vision please share I could use some help with this one.” I think you would need to ask your own guides and angels for help; they are meant to. You may also want to check out a psychic healer if he or she can provide some clues.

Love and light,
Evelyn

@Vered, thanks for liking the vision I’ve shared. Yes…a Busy mind will not be able to see visions. It’s a good idea to make some mental space, for something of pure magnificence to come in.

@Cath, my Photoshop skills are self taught as well. Photoshop is such a powerful program, but with so many features that I’ve not been able to learn all of them. I guess the only way to improve is to keep playing with it and to find a reference book to examine possibilities with the software.

There is always a start. Read what I said in reply to Glenn. On the side, I also do intense emotional clearing, karmic cleansing and energy work to raise my vibes.

I think that creativity is the direct result of meditation. When I get a difficult issue to tackle, I spend some time to meditate and it has always helped me come up with creative solutions.

Hi Evelyn,

This is indeed very beautiful, and thanks for the attempt to “re-create” it for our benefit! I think Spirit does use different mediums for expression and it changes all the time. I used to do art in school (and I think I was pretty good at it), but I didn’t get visions until I stopped all physical expressions of creativity. And when I did get visions in meditations or dreams, I did not feel inclined to doodle or dance or do anything physically for that matter. Perhaps I’m just not as good in multi-tasking as I thought I was, LOL!

I think your butterfly picture is breathtaking. I think it would be an amazing painting.

I have tried to paint a few pictures that I have seen in my mind from meditiations. Once I saw a tree, shaped as a giant oak knarled with wisdom of the ages. Instead of the expected browns and sepias of color, the wood and bark of the tree was shaded with every brilliant color of the rainbow flowing through its many branches and into its leaves, which glistened with every imaginable color. As each leaf would fall to the ground it would spill its color into a puddle and the resulting wetness grew into a rainbow lake of creativity that ran into a river and flowed over rocks and tumbled out as far away as I could see.

I understood that all of creativity comes from the deepest well and is raised up to grow and branch out and be given back through each of us- the brilliant leaves until we can return it to the world and deep back into the depth from where it comes. It is a circle of mystery.

It was an awesome moment and the painting I made of it did NOT do it justice. :)

Flora Morris Brown, Ph.D. September 5, 2008 at 3:31 pm

I seem to receive audio messages rather than visions. Three times in my life when I’ve been deeply pondering making major changes in my life, I received loud booming messages from angels? God? I’m not sure what entity, but the messages were clearly for me.

One such time was when I wanted so desperately to move closer to my job to cut out a long commute, and also to live in a more beautiful and loving environment for me and my children.

I began spending every weekend combing the real estate section of the newspaper and visiting old and new homes. When I found the home I wanted, I thought I would then put my house up for sale.

One day as I was returning home from one of these weekend treks I was startled by a loud, deep voice “You don’t really want to move!”

“What?!” I said out loud, arguing with the voice.”I DO want to move.”

“If you REALLY wanted to move you’d put your house up for sale first. Then you’d find the home you want.”

Now this was just plain backwards I thought to myself. But since I was convinced that this was divine guidance I listed my house for sale the next week.

Shortly after that a friend called to ask if I was still interested in moving. It seems that she needed to sell her deceased aunt’s home and just hadn’t gotten around to it.

Many other miracles happened during the course of this transaction, but you know the end of the story. I’m now living in a home and in an area more wonderful than what I wasn’t even considering.

It’s clear that my angels don’t trust using subtle means to get my attention. They grab their megaphones when they want to send a message. I always recognize them, and respond with gratitude.

Evelyn September 5, 2008 at 8:53 pm

@Shilpan, creative ideas can come as a result of meditation but it is not the only way. I’m sure those that do not meditate will tell you that it is still possible to do art or otherwise.

@Irene, if you’re good in art then maybe it’s a good idea to rediscover your forgotten skills. You’d never know what you may come up with.

@marelissa, it’s time to dig out the acrylic paints…I wonder if my box has not already been “invaded” by my kids!?!

@Wendi, what a brilliant vision! Your description knocked me out. Love it! Would a rendition of it by a different medium be better? You may want to consider it.

[Reply]

Evelyn September 5, 2008 at 9:03 pm

Flora, how amazing! Your angels sure did the right thing to get your attention. Perhaps they may have sending you subtle clues but when you still could not hear or see them, they had to make their voices be heard.

I am glad that you chose to be divinely guided. It was how you managed to experience miracles during the property transaction. Your angels sure want you to have a home flowing with beautiful energy!

Thanks for sharing,

Hi Evelyn – I’m glad you went ahead and used Photoshop. It really helped with your blog post!

Sometimes I do feel like there are many, many creative visions that come to us, but we sometimes make our own mental blocks to prevent them from coming to light. Your post definitely reinforces this notion with me.

Evelyn September 7, 2008 at 9:24 pm

Al, it’s true. We prevent ourselves from experiencing things from the spiritual plane. We disbelieve rather than think that they are available to us. If we can work towards surrendering and trusting our intuition and guides, we can get to know our divinity more.

Love, light and truth,
Evelyn

JonxBlaze, your experience of having difficulty is nothing new for a lot of us when we first begin to do quiet sittings. Just focus on the breath. Be aware if your thoughts take off to some place else and bring them back to the present moment (your breath). Do not judge or berate yourself if you have not meditated well. Make meditation or just sitting down quietly regularly.

The Grand Master, Buddha, also talked about five hindrances to a successful meditation. Read this post here

Mine is something simple but so beautiful. One of my twins fell yesterday and was crying. I was taking something out of the oven so it took me a moment to get to her. When I got there, the other twin had her arms wrapped around her and was patting her back asking “ok, emma?” They aren’t quite two yet but already are showing such kindness towards others :)

Next week I’m starting an art class that uses an art process that serves as an outlet for feelings (positive and negative) and as a means for self-expression. Each class starts with participants formulating and writing an “Intention” for the session. After the art session everyone writes about the work he/she has created…describing their art, dialogue with it, or write a story or poem. Participants write quickly, spontaneously, without censoring. At the end of each session the group comes together to share. Everyone gains greater appreciation and empathy for the other members of the group by witnessing their images and words, as well as by witnessing the risks each takes to share in revealing their personal truths. I AM SO EXCITED FOR THIS CLASS!!!

@Stacey, you sound like you’ve got a great curriculum for your upcoming class. It’ll be a wonderful experience to see what everyone comes up with. It sounds exciting that each will get to witness the risks in revealing individual personal truths. Hope you will be blogging about it to share next week!

Your photoshopped images are amazing Evelyn. I’m just loving this addition to your posts. I do have visions occasionally, though I can’t think of one at the moment. When I write though I do see my story in my minds eye. I’ve studied screenwriting and everyone said I was a natural at creating prose that evokes clear images. I think that’s because I see it as I write it.

I have done some art therapy before and that was very interesting, calming and therapeutic.
