@Malcom, I guess the props and costumes help make these psychics look more real!! Hollywood certainly have a hand in creating the image of how a psychic looks like in our minds.

Great post! All that Hollywood mumbo jumbo is such nonsense, I find it hard to believe people go to purported psychics with all the props and costumes.

Bvery true there is a lot of fake people out there and this gives the field such a bad name.

@Robin, it sure helps to go to the women whom we can trust in. I have a stack of tarrot cards too myself and like you, I use it to help develop my intuitive abilities and not for doing readings for others.

Hi Evelyn – I haven’t ever had a psychic reading as such. I have had a few astrology readings, and I think the woman i went to was very intuitive, and the readings were very useful.

I do my own tarot cards now and then – I don’t like to do them for other people. I usually do those sorts of things just to get more in touch with myself (it doesn’t necessarily work!)

As a practicing intuitive and medium, i particularly enjoyed this article. Very funny! I agree that referrals are best, and as the practitioner i appreciate that when someone is referred by a person who knows them well and wants the best for them, they come in to the session with an appropriate attitude, which is, in my opinion, relaxed and curious about helpful guidance and spiritual tuition. A practitioner should be compassionate and respectful of the clients own wisdom. The practitioner should aim to be helpful while respecting the greater wisdom under which he/she operates.

Dear Miss Bridget, I can see why horoscopes have become horror scopes in your case. In general, tarrot cards have a 60% accuracy rate and much depends on the intuitive skill (or guesswork) by the reader. Therefore, there is a huge margin of error and in getting the reading wrong.

Readings are best made by a responsible person; that is, for anyone who is still hoping to engage one. I approach mine differently. I only access records of the past and current of the soul to remove blocks and restrictions to more empowered living. The aim is to help the client enhance his or her energetic levels and to open up spiritual pathways. I do not do predictions of future events!
